We have come to the end of our first series of Game Changers. What a team, we have seriously giggled a lot since our first show back in August! So what has the series been like? Well if you’ve missed it, where were you?!! We are on every Saturday morning at 9am on Sky Sports 1 and Sky One. (Next series will begin in September). We’ve had everything from Louis Smith showing us his pommel horse skills live in the studio, Jess Ennis-Hill recreating the heptathlon, David Beckham’s masterclasses, Nick Matthew’s expertise on squash to Andy Murray on the tennis courts. The show has been jam-packed with sport to get every child watching inspired to get active.
A few moments that I’ve loved… My cousin Will Greenwood coming in to the studio and taking the reigns of our ‘equisizer’ and attempting to be a jockey despite being 6 foot 5 inches! Another was shooting penalties (and missing some!) in front of the stands at Brentford in our Di versus Darren challenge… I seriously haven’t been that nervous in a long time. I absolutely loved our day at Bath University training with the GB Men’s Bobsleigh team ahead of their trip to Sochi. Great banter and incredibly tight lyrca… I am still to challenge Darren at golf but rest assured, I will make this happen!
Here’s a video of some highlights of the series:
We are so excited to have David Beckham and Jess Ennis-Hill in the studio next week for our Game Changers Special to celebrate the achievements of the young people and teachers involved in Sky Sports Living for Sport. This will be a an hour long show full of fun. Don’t forget to tune in at 4.30pm on Tuesday 20th May on Sky Sports 1.
Speak next week!
