So it’s March 2016. Six months has flown by since I last blogged This will be rectified! Our baby daughter Bridget arrived on 7th December, 2015. She was a rather big girl weighing 9 pounds 7 and that was a week early! I now know why I was struggling to walk at the end of my pregnancy. She is thriving now and has incredibly large cheeks. We started filming again for Game Changers at the beginning of February so there’s a bit of juggling going on, but all good fun.
Yes Game Changers is back! If you’d forgotten, we’re on air every Friday at 5pm on Sky Sports 1 and Saturday mornings 8am Sky Sports 1 and Sky One. Plus we’re ‘On Demand!’ We recently had Sophia Candappa on the show, netball centre for England and Surrey Storm. What a great role model for young girls! Determined, passionate about her sport and such a hard worker. Well done lady.
So here’s what has made me smile recently:
7 year old Jake Frood who is appearing on this week’s Game Changers. He is no.2 in the world and the British Champion. Read a bit about his story here:
Sky Sports Scholars Take over Day at Sky. We heard from some of our athletes who are aiming for Rio as they took over Sky Studios for the day in February. Check out their stories here:
Haru Namura winning her first LPGA Tour title, the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open. What a brilliant final round of 65.
Bubba Watson’s post round interview after winning the Northern Trust Open, reigning in his emotions.
My first round of golf post Bridget with my cousin and husband at Sunningdale. It was freezing but awesome!
Photobox app. It is brilliant and you can quickly load photos on your iphone and order prints and canvases.
This Meli Melo bag I received for my birthday. I researched it a LOT! It fits all my bits in with great side pocket space. Very versatile.
Centre Parcs at Longleat, UK. We stayed for a couple of nights with our two children in a beautiful log cabin. I love the fact you leave your car and don’t drive during your stay. It’s all about walking and cycling everywhere. It’s hard to describe how important being amongst nature is. Ok so I may be losing some of you but it really does allow you to relax and breathe.
Longleat Safari Park! Brilliant place. This drive through safari is set in beautiful countryside and is a fab day out.
I found this pic of Nick and I in South Africa from 3 years ago. I have been meaning to frame it for 3 years!! The views were simply breath-taking.
Trampolining! Okay so this is my son’s trampoline in the back garden but I have been assured by various trainers that it’s one of the best forms of exercise. Ten minutes straight and you’re exhausted!
Coconut oil – great facial moisturiser and I now cook my eggs with it. Top tip from Will Greenwood!
Method cleaning products – all non-toxic. Thank you @youneedavicky for recommending them.
The film ‘Joy’ with Jennifer Lawrence. Loved the scene of her first presenting job on QVC. A must watch.
Yoga mat from @YogaBellies
Check out their Dragon’s Den story via the video on their website: http://www.yogabellies.co.uk.
Finally I’ve set myself a goal of getting my handicap back down to single figures by October November time. Okay so I would like to be off 9 by then. I’m currently off 11 but didn’t play much last year due to pregnancy and work. I think I’ll have to take Bridget along to the driving range with me over the next few weeks! Also I’m going to ask my husband for a lesson right now… I’ll let you know what he says!
